Pearl’s Cab Ride is a group of like-minded players, who carry the torch for great funk, soul & latin music.

The band’s roots took hold in the Acid Jazz scene of the early 1990’s, when founder member Lyn Acton and original guitarist Karl Arthur bonded over their love of music whilst waiting for a taxi, and the rest as they say, is funk-history. The band’s musical roots hold fast today, however they are not a retro outfit. The band are still writing and performing new music in their sweat soaked live performances…. As some lucky people already know, the true magic of Pearls Cab Ride is served up by the truck load when seen live.
