The Adelphi is famous for championing local and unsigned artists and bands. Some of the biggest acts on the planet played their early gigs at this humble little Yorkshire venue over the last 39 years.

Did you know there are 11 bands that have played at The Adelphi and headlined the MAIN PYRAMID STAGE at Glastonbury. Can you name them?
Answers: Echo & the Bunnymen, Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Radiohead, Carter USM, Pulp, Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, Skunk Anansie, Travis and Mumford & Sons.
Adelphi bands that have headlined ‘Other’ Glastonbury stages include War, John Cooper Clarke, The Housemartins, The Woodentops, Levellers, Del Amitri, Blue Aeroplanes, PJ Harvey, The Orb, The Boo Radleys, Supergrass, Cast, Terrorvision, Fatboy Slim, Super Furry Animals, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, First Aid Kit, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Two Door Cinema Club, Friendly Fires and Idles.
Doors: open daily 8 pm till 11 pm, 10:30 pm on Sunday
Entrance Charges: Dependent on gig, concessionary reductions available.

Outline P.A./Desk/Lighting Spec: 2.5K/16:2 desk/comprehensive lighting installation.
Stage size: 22′ x 8′ x 14′
Soundcheck: 5.00pm – 7.00pm
Tech spec: We’ve no idea. The issue is usually resolved, when we agree that what was good for the all the amazing bands that have played the Adelphi in the past, is good enough for us.
Dressing Room: To rear of stage (secure, with private WC)
First/last band on at: Curfew to aim at 11.00pm

Other facilities: The venue is regularly used by various sound engineers for recording and has excellent acoustics.
