Hull’s famous and much loved New Adelphi club is typically associated with the ear-pleasing loudness of live underground music made by the finest array of musicians and artists, but soon silence will be the order of the day at the first New Adephi Silent Book Club meet!

READING STARTS at 3.30pm for an hour but I will be there from around 3pm to say ‘hello’ if you want to turn up earlier and settle in and grab a seat.

There’s no charge to join us but our wonderful kindly host is allowing us to get together here to read at this legendary Hull location, so please do get yourself a drink or three from the bar to help show our gratitude and support. 

One of the last surviving underground live music venues in the country, there will be no cappuccinos on offer at this book club meeting, but a fine array of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.
