Hull’s very own electropop heroes Fonda 500 will take The Adelphi by storm on Friday 3rd October as part of our Anniversary celebrations. Formed in 1995, Fonda were the first band signed to The Adelphi’s record label ‘Village Records’ in 1999. They released two albums and two singles on ‘Village’ before signing to Truck Records.

Their songs have appeared on the soundtrack to the British comedy television programme, Teachers, Colin Farrel film Intermission and E4’s Skins.
They are joined by former Truck Records stable mates Black Nielson. Ex-Truck Records label mates Black Nielson reformed this year after 20 years to do a few festival shows. We’re very pleased to announce that they’ve agreed to come and open for us at The New Adelphi Clubi on 3rd October. Having played the club numerous times “back in the day”, it’s an absolute honour to bring their beautiful blend of lo-fi, scuzzy, dreamy left-field pop back to celebrate the night with us.
