Tree House Fire / The Social Ignition / support
No Enemies No Strangers presents the first of two summertime Reggae specials!
If you saw these guys supporting Counting Coins at Fruit a couple of years ago, they should need no further introduction… For everyone else – Tree House Fire are a 5-piece Reggae/Dub band based partly in Surrey and partly in South Wales, that play their own style of upbeat, catchy songs with infectious hooks, soothing grooves and stomping beats, tailor-made to get you moving! The popularity of the band has seen them share the stage with the likes of The Skints, Sonic Boom Six, Jaya The Cat, The Beat, The Selecter and New York Ska legends The Toasters, along with numerous festival appearances including the UK’s largest Reggae and Ska festival, Boomtown Fair, alongside established acts such as Damian Marley, Madness, Cat Empire and Anthony B, to name a few.
Making a long-overdue Hull debut are one of our favourite acts from the UK scene. This midlands-based Ska-fusion band have a melting pot of musical influences, from Folk to Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop, Rock and Punk and E.D.M but always with a main focus on Reggae and Ska. The broad range in musical interests and influences of the band members adds to their interesting, diverse sound; with skank-tastic brass, dubby basslines, to funkadelic guitar licks with danceable beats. All adding up to their unique complexities, there’s a little bit of something for everyone, whilst staying true to their sound.
