Snowapple have changed somewhat since their last visit to the Adelphi, with the addition of four Mexican musicians who were enlisted when one of the original trio had to fly home suddenly in the midst of a US/Mexico tour.
Coming from diverse musical background, the members of the new Snowapple [‘Wexico’] form a remarkable ensemble – a group of multi-instrumentalists / singers from Amsterdam and Mexico, playing original songs which they describe themselves as pop/folk/opera/avant-garde-cumbia.
Cross cultural and inter-continental, their giddy leapfrogging between genres, combined with the wide range of instruments they play, effectuates an incomparable sound, adding Mezcal and summer-vibes to the music and expanding Snowapple into an even more explosive, eccentric and theatrical act.
