RUFF TRADE are an explosion of Roots, Rock, Reggae born in 2016 on the streets of Manchester, UK. Fronted by brothers Ryan-I & Christafari RUFF TRADE quickly gained local popularity and they soon hit the studio recording their debut E.P Urban Jungle in 2017 which was mastered at Abbey Road Studios, London.
Since 2017 RUFF TRADE have gigged extensively across the UK also working with, and rated by, legendary reggae artists such as Prince Hammer, Dennis Bovell & Keith Poppin amongst others.
+ Ceiling Demons
Ceiling Demons are an alternative art-rap group from rural North Yorkshire.
Born out of bereavement, they have been channelling their music during the last decade with poetic wordplay over cinematic instrumentals, haunted raw folk anthems, experimental trip-hop explorations and the occasional punk-rock outburst. Fronted by twin brothers; Psy Ceiling and Dan Demon. The pair explore themes of love and loss, address art over entertainment and deliver their craft with a DIY philosophy. Known for their emotionally charged work, their use of masks and their unique live performances which often features their artwork collaborator Art Demon creating a one-off unique piece, specifically for each gig. Ceiling Demons have shared the stage with the likes of Young Fathers, Mouses, billy woods & Elucid (Armand Hammer) and Ceschi Ramos among others. They released their latest album ‘Snakes & Ladders’ in September 2021 which featured the late great Lee Scratch Perry via Fake Four Inc. (US) and North East record label Butterfly Effect (UK).
