Neoplastic (FKA King Orange) are a valued part of Hull’s contemporary miliuex of post-punk bands, and for good reason; through bustling, chorus drenched guitars and an industrialised percussive backbone, Neoplastic reach towards the essence of the musically frenetic but aesthetically considered wave of post-punk marking the early 80’s. Kitchen Ink is a new project for the Hull scene, bringing industrial poetry to a city made of cement and wires. Percussive loops provide a punctual counterpoint to swelling ambient synths, laying the foundations for the spoken-word-stroke-stream-of-conciousness; the focal point of Kitchen Ink. With no recorded material as of yet Kitchen Ink can only be witnessed live, so make sure you’re there early for it.
