About the play:
The play is about the history of The New Adelphi Club and follows the lives of Sammy and Meera over 40 years whose lives are inextricably linked to the club. The play tells the club’s funny and unique history whilst telling an original story about the lives of people who frequent the venue.
Hull Truck Theatre would like a small audience of Adelphi fans/customers to attend the reading so that we can hear the play in front of a live audience and develop the play further.
What is a rehearsed reading?
When developing a new play, sometimes theatres gather a team of actors to read the play aloud to test it. Sometimes this is in closed setting and sometimes in front of an audience. This gives the writers and staff at the theatre a chance to hear the play and look at ways to improve it.
How do I confirm my place?
You can request your place by following the following link and completing the form.
Space is limited and so we can only offer limited spaces on a first come, first served basis. Please complete this form to request your tickets.
The event will run 7pm until 9pm. Doors will open at 6.45pm for the 7pm start.
