“Stop what you are doing and please focus up, you cannot miss this thing” Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1) Portsmouth’s finest, Hallan, are riding high off the back of the release of their latest EP ‘The Noise of a Firing Gun’ their second on tastemaker label Nice Swan (Sprints, Sports Team, Courting, Pip Blom). The thrilling quartet have built on acclaimed debut EP ‘Reporting Live From The Living Room Floor’, with their newest work seeing the band experiment with production elements and shift their gaze towards synthesised sounds of the ‘80s, whilst retaining their post-punk edge. Leaving the mundanity of the 21st century behind and turning to real-life events of the past, Hallan bring attention to the stories of historical individuals within their new EP. “One of the more interesting and colourful purveyors of this modern age agit-pop” Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) Having already attracted an array of acclaim throughout the press landscape (Loud & Quiet, The Line Of Best Fit, Dork, CRACK Magazine, Clash, Gigwise, The Forty-Five, Rough Trade), band have received significant support from BBC Radio 6 Music with this latest release, including a Maida Vale Session and Roundtable Review for Steve Lamacq and culminating in 4 weeks on the radio station’s playlist (A-List). Having teased the EP in a run of dates in April the band are back on the road to celebrate the release throughout Autumn and Winter. Including two dates with punk legends Gang of Four. Who’s ready for a party?!

On main support we have local young mavericks Candid Faces with their contagious and witty trash pop punk tunes. Who have gained very credible support slots with bands such as LIFE, Lambrini Girls, Fever and Deadletter.

Our other TWO supports come our in opener Baby Flowers , who are new on the scene but bring and undeniable raw and unhinged grunge energy of likeness to the big grunge legends of the 90s.

Following this we have Jodie Langford . Who will be warming us into those electro punk vibes, Jodie is an exceptional spoken word poet who took her act to a new level by teaming up with local legend Endoflevelbaddie . Turnupthevolume blog have reviewed Jodie as a ‘kick ass hip hop rap poet with head spinning hyperkinetic tunes! This will be one hell of a Christmas party! You don’t wanna miss it! Bag an early Christmas present and get those tickets now!
