ĠENN are a Brighton-based Anglo-Maltese Sisterhood. New single Reverberations out now!
“Complex, ambitious… with the chaotic energy of an informal jam” ‘PITCHFORK’
“Chaotic, beautiful and impossible to resist ‘Johnny Hostile'” – Jehnny Beth
Reverberations provides a spectral – almost operatic – performance from vocalist Leona Farrugia, with lyrics glitching within a swirling pool of instrumentation. Beauty and melancholy is dialled up in an equally potent measure, once again outlining ĠENN as an act who care deeply about music’s ability to direct in a cinematic manner.
+ Beth Pilling & The Bootleggers
Hull based five piece who strive to deliver an ambitious blend of musical genres to your ear canals! Rooted in Rock but delicately decorated with hints of jazz and folk.
+ Silent Empire
Silent Empire are an unconventional outfit sporting a punk attitude and a grungy timbre. Carlos Pires’ atmospheric guitar soundscapes supporting Ellie Pollard’s powerhouse female vocal, with an intricate rhythm section from John Hopper and Martin Deane’s grooving baselines. Influenced by Radiohead, likened to The Pixies – reimagined with an angsty front woman reminiscent of Siouxsie and the Banshees or Amyl and the Sniffers.”.
