Acid Klaus + More
Friday 17th May
The New Adelphi Club
£10 Advance Tickets on this page.
Anyone lucky enough to attend BDRMM’s ace Xmas party last month will have witnessed ACID KLAUS not only take the roof off the place (then kindly put it back) but also have an almost psychic ability to make everyone lose control of their legs (and minds) and for that reason and that reason alone we are proud to invite the Acid Klaus live collective back to The Adelphi to kick start the summer to headline and curate an evening of fun, weird and eccentric electronic pop – but not as you know it!
For those not in the know, Acid Klaus is the new electronic weird pop project of songwriter/ producer/ artist/ dj and agitator – Mr Adrian Flanagan, the man behind many of the north of Englands finest trailblazing groups of the past decade from the electro psychedelic glam rock of The Moonlandingz – to the Radiophonic avant garde of The Eccentronic Research Council and much more. He’s worked with everyone from members of Fat white Family, actress Maxine Peake, Sean Lennon & Yoko Ono, Phil Oakey from the Human League & even stood in on guitar for the late great Mark E Smith when he was a kid living in Salford. More impressively he has worked with the actual Cowboy from The Village People. Beat that!!
Over the past year he’s released his critically acclaimed debut Acid Klaus Album, toured the U.K , been a big hit at U.K. & EU festivals and done a high profile guest spot at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall with Roisin Murphy. On Friday 17th May he along with his collective of all singing, all dancing sarky miscreants and a few friends will be bringing the party to the Adelphi to do a full headline set of solid bangers! Not to be missed. Don’t sleep on this, get yer ticket first , then get some rest, for you WILL SWEAT!
