Everyone knows that Halloween is better than Christmas, so let’s celebrate it properly with a little party with Roman Jugg (from The Damned) and his band, playing everything you need your ears to be caressed with, and lots of lovely loud punk stuff from Parallel States, Buckfast Tramp, and Sickcino.
Prizes for the best Halloween costume.

The Roman Jugg Band is a welcome reminder of the much underrated contribution Roman made to the most commercially successful era of The Damned…
If you’re going to do a nostalgic set that is largely reliving past glories then this is how you do it.

Roman Jugg began his career in the Welsh punk band Victimize in the late 1970s. He was an acquaintance of bassist Paul Gray, who was a member of The Damned. In late 1981, he worked with the Damned as a touring keyboardist before becoming a full-time member in 1982 for the album Strawberries. He also worked on a number of Damned-adjacent projects, including Naz Nomad and the Nightmares (under the alias Sphix Svenson and David Vanian and the Phantom Chords). After Captain Sensible left The Damned in 1984, Jugg moved from keyboards to main guitar and became a full member on the studio albums Phantasmagoria (1985) and Anything (1986). After the 1989 breakup of The Damned he continued to work with Dave Vanian and Bryn Merrick, forming The Phantom Chords. A studio album called David Vanian and the Phantom Chords was released in 1995.

Parallel States are a three-piece punk band from Nottinghamshire, influenced by 90’s/early 2000’s bands such as Green Day, Blink 182, etc.

Buckfast Tramp are a group of HU5’s finest idiots who turn nice traditional folk songs into punk-esque nightmares and pay homage to the gods of the folk-punk world. Definitely not a cult.

Sickcino is a fast-rising post-punk and noise-rock band based in Hull, known for their chaotic, high-energy live shows.
