Yes/No

Hope and disillusionment. Disillusionment and hope. The order doesn’t matter. They are all around us, accompanied by anger and frustration. Do you know how you are feeling about today’s world? Neither do we. Sometimes we love it, sometimes we hate it. Sometimes we might even want to change it. So, one word came to our mind: DADA. We are not the one’s who founded it, we are the ones who want to relive it for one night.

Inspired by Cabaret Voltaire – the place where Dada began and developed through new and experimental performances – it will be a night where everything could happen, or nothing could happen. It depends as much on us, as it depends on you. It will be all about spontaneity, engagement with the world and the courage to even be there.

Europe is in a state of political flux. Article 50 has been triggered and there is a great uncertainty about the future of Britain. Yes/No is a collaborative event which aims to create a space in which the modern realities of the world can be challenged, contradicted and discussed through the use of live performance, poetry, sound art and interaction.

In association with the University of Hull Drama Department. Presented by Masters Students.
